Clinical Informatics Pharmacist

Job Summary

The Clinical Informatics Pharmacist supports the vision of the Total Healing Environment and the values of respect, integrity, accountability, commitment and quality by working collaboratively with the Pharmacy System Coordinator, Physician EMR specialist and other members of the EMR team to maintain the portion of the EMR system which requires clinical pharmacist expertise. Provides advanced pharmacy practice experience to the EMR team and participates in EMR modifications, new builds, problem solving and testing of medications and related order sentences within the EMR system.

Job Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy with a minimum of a Doctor of Pharmacy degree or a B.S. Pharmacy degree with comparable clinical experience
  • Currently licensed to practice pharmacy in the state of Arizona
  • Healthcare Information System experience
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing providing excellent customer service
  • Basic computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Windows

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience preferred; Cerner Millenium background strongly preferred
