Credentialing Specialist

Job Summary

The Credentialing Specialist supports the vision of the Total Healing Environment and the values of respect, integrity, accountability, commitment and quality with responsibility for all aspects of medical staff and allied health professionals credentialing related to the granting of hospital privileges at Yavapai Regional Medical Center East and West campuses.

Job Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • High School graduate or GED
  • Three years of executive or administrative assistant experience. Relevant experience may be considered
  • CPCS or CPMSM by NAMSS certification required or obtained within five years
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing providing excellent customer service
  • Excellent time management skills, organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks with minimal supervision, with acute attention to detail and accuracy
  • Computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Windows
  • Intermediate proficienccy with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Credentialing database management skills including querying, reporting and document generation

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional education with a degree in business or a health-related field
  • Cactus software experience
