Hyperbaric Technician

Job Summary

The Hyperbaric Technician supports the vision of the Total Healing Environment and the values of respect, integrity, accountability, commitment and quality. Under the direct supervision of the Program Manager, assumes the responsibility for the safe and effective operation of the compression chamber system and supporting components. Performs maintenance activities of the hyperbaric chambers and associated systems and equipment, as directed.

Job Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • High School graduate or GED
  • One year experience in healthcare or diving industry
  • Certification as a Hyperbaric Technologist (CHT)
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Provider certified
  • Chamber operational competency workbook to be completed within 90 days of hire date
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing providing excellent customer service
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities/tasks simultaneously in a fast paced environment
  • Basic computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Windows

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Wound care, hyperbaric medicine and/or experience in emergency medicine or acute care
  • Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience preferred; Wound Expert and Cerner strongly preferred
