Nurse Practitioner, Part Time

Job Summary

The Nurse Practitioner supports the vision of the Total Healing Environment and the values of respect, integrity, accountability, commitment and quality providing school-based primary healthcare and mobile clinic program oversight in accordance with program and hospital policies and procedures as well as state and federal rules and regulations.

Job Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited school/college of nursing program
  • Certification as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner
  • Current Arizona nursing license and Arizona Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner certification
  • Current DEA license
  • Two years of pediatric clinical experience
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Provider certified
  • Current AHA PALS certified
  • Current, valid AZ DPS fingerprint clearance card issued pursuant to Arizona law or provide documentation of application for AZ DPS fingerprint clearance card within seven (7) days of hire
  • Certification in school-based vision and hearing screening procedures by the Yavapai County Education Service Agency within 18 months of hire
  • Willingness to learn to drive/operate the mobile clinic for emergency purposes only
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing providing excellent customer service
  • Basic computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Windows
  • Proficiency working with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • One year of previous experience in providing services to pediatric patients in a community or school setting strongly preferred
  • Previous supervisory experience directing other clinical and/or administrative staff
  • Bilingual in Spanish
  • Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience preferred; Cerner strongly preferred
