Respiratory Care Supervisor

Job Summary

The Respiratory Care Supervisor supports the vision of the Total Healing Environment and the values of respect, integrity, accountability, commitment and quality by providing administrative and clinical oversight of operations and quality of Respiratory Care Services throughout the organization. Responsible for the development of policies and procedures and staying abreast of new technology in the field.

Job Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • College AS or AA degree; Bachelor's preferred. Registry-eligible as a Registered Respiratory Therapist by the National Board of Respiratory Care. Licensed in the State of Arizona
  • Three years of respiratory care experience in a clinical setting
  • One year of management or supervisory experience in an acute care setting
  • Current AHA BLS for Healthcare Provider certification
  • Current AHA ACLS certification
  • Current AHA PALS certification
  • NRP certification
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing providing excellent customer service
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities/tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be an independent thinker, and make decisions based on analytical analysis, personal observation as well as being objective while seeking input from other sources
  • Able to interact in a positive manner with staff, patients, Nursing staff and Physicians on an administrative level
  • Computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Windows
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Process improvement experience
  • Experience supervising/managing multiple sites/locations
  • Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience preferred; Cerner strongly preferred
