Job Summary

The Cardiac Cath/Angiography Department Secretary/Scheduler/Nursing Assistant supports the vision of the Total Healing Environment and the values of respect, integrity, accountability, commitment and quality. This position schedules department procedures, maintains patient charts, answers phone calls, relays messages, processing the daily Cardiac Cath/Angiography procedure schedule and provides direct patient care under the supervision of an RN.

Job Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • High School graduate or GED
  • One year of experience as a department Secretary/Scheduler or related position
  • Current AZ CNA certification; or current AZ LNA; or documentation of successful completion of a Nursing Assistant training program; or documentation of successful completion of first year curriculum in an accredited RN nursing program; or six months of NA experience; or current EMT certification with six months of patient care experience
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Provider certified
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing providing excellent customer service
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities/tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Windows
  • Basic proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Word)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Acute care experience preferred
  • One year of college or equivalent technical training preferred
  • Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience preferred; Cerner strongly preferred
